Alejandro Amenábar est un cinéaste et compositeur hispano-chilien. Son premier film « TESIS » (1996), remporte sept Goya. Il enchaîne avec « OUVRE LES YEUX » (1997), adapté en aux Etats-Unis sous le titre Vanilla Sky. Son premier film en anglais, « LES AUTRES (2001), avec Nicole Kidman, est un succès global. En 2004, « MAR ADENTRO » remporte l’Oscar du meilleur film en langue étrangère et plus de 60 prix partout dans le monde. « AGORA » (2009) est le film le plus rentable en Espagne, son dernier film « LETTRE A FRANCO » (2019) est présenté à Toronto et Saint-Sébastien. Il obtient 17 nominations aux Goya
MASTERCLASS, le vendredi 7 Mars à 16h à la Cinémathèque de Luxembourg. (animée par Léo Soesanto) et une rétrospective de plusieurs longs métrages.
