Have you heard of Verwuerelter?

Have you ever heard of Verwuerelter?
🎭 The Carnival period (Fuesend) is synonymous with Verwuerelter in Luxembourg, a real tradition in the country! Their name comes from the Luxembourgish word verwuelt, which means "twisted" or "tangled." In the past, Luxembourgish families would prepare these delicious doughnuts in large quantities before Lent, as a way of enjoying sweets one last time before giving them up! 😋
Today, they are a delicious symbol of Luxembourg and are eagerly awaited every year by both young and old!
So why not make a Verwuerelter marathon? Here are a few places where you can try them in the city center!
Enjoy your tasting 😊
