Luxembourg Celebrates the Trounwiessel

This weekend, the entire country dresses up in its finest colors! With street entertainment, decorated shop windows, and open-air performances, the Trounwiessel invites young and old to stroll, explore, and share a unique moment to welcome the new Grand Duke Guillaume.

A Historic Weekend 👑

From October 3 to 5, 2025, Luxembourg celebrates the accession to the throne of His Royal Highness Prince Guillaume. Three days full of emotions, blending official ceremonies, popular festivities, and convivial moments.

Must-See Highlights 📌

• Friday, October 3: official ceremonies and solemn moments in Luxembourg City.
• Saturday, October 4: grand celebrations across the country, with street performances, concerts starting at 1 p.m. at Champ du Glacis in Luxembourg City, as well as in other participating towns. Enjoy food stalls, live broadcasts on big screens, and a festive street atmosphere. In the evening, the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Bridge will light up for a musical and light show.
• Sunday, October 5: closing of the weekend with the Te Deum at Notre-Dame Cathedral.
