Teresa, a Chilean woman, comes to an isolated community of Croatian shepherds claiming to be the widow of their émigré family member Marko. Her arrival causes turmoil and impacts group dynamics. A contemplative and atmospheric film about the perpetuation of faith, gender roles, violence, guilt and belonging in a traditional society where not everything is what it seems to be.

« Cinematographer Jana Plećaš shoots the towering landscapes with grim authority. Each character is framed by a sprawling mountainous expanse. Nature seems to play as operatic and lingering in dread as this tale of an outsider­–a straying woman­–who catalyses a self-recognition in women, fear in men, which they cannot quite square up to. » (High on Films)
