Luxembourg City's Grande Braderie

Founded by a group of retailers in 1906, the Union commerciale de la Ville de Luxembourg (Luxembourg City Business Association – UCVL) organised the very first Braderie in 1929. It has now become a long-running and deeply ingrained tradition and is held on a Monday between late August and early September.

With roaring trade, a joyous atmosphere and fantastic entertainment on offer, the Braderie is the country's foremost trade fair. Simply put, it is not to be missed.

The many traders bring the city streets to life, making this popular event the place to be in autumn. It is a chance to get together after the summer, and there are plenty of treasures waiting to be unearthed.

Bi-weekly farmers' markets

The country's food offers a unique and wonderful palette of flavours. The finest regional products are on offer, including wines, meat and cheeses made by small local producers. Lovers of good food and drink flock to the Braderie like moths to a flame.

Discover this veritable feast for the senses at the bi-weekly farmers' markets held every Wednesday and Saturday on Place Guillaume II between 7:00 and 13:30.

You are also sure to enjoy the Bonnevoie market, which is held Wednesday on Place Léon XII from 8:00 to 13:30.

During the summer months, the Glacismaart is set up on Champ du Glacis in Limpertsberg every third Sunday from March to November. You will find a dizzying range of products on offer, including antiques, plants, flowers, fresh local produce, textiles, and much more!
