Car parking

Free car parks

In the Gare district, you can use the Fort Neipperg and Fort Wedell car parks, which offer 2 hours of free parking during the week and on Sundays, and also 4 hours of free parking on Saturdays.

The Glacis, Rond-point Schuman and Stade car parks are free on weekends and on public holidays. The park and ride facilities, just minutes from the city, are free of charge, 24 hours a day.

Outside the city centre, the P+R Bouillon is free and offers a shuttle service to the city centre and the train station in less than 10 minutes.

Underground car parks

The Knuedler, Théâtre, Monterey and Schuman underground car parks are all very close to the city centre. You can also park at the new Royal Hamilius car park!

The Glacis car park in Limpertsberg is free on weekends, and costs €1 per hour during the week. A free shuttle service operates between the Glacis car park and Rue Beaumont when stores are open for Sunday shoppers.

Online payment

The Call2Park service is a way to buy parking tickets in Luxembourg City. Tickets can be bought using a Luxembourg mobile phone and a credit card. You must register in advance to use the system.

Free public transport

Why not use our great public-transport system? Public transport is free throughout the country, and will take you easily wherever you want to go.
For information about travelling by public transport, go to the Infobus space on Place d'Armes (Cercle Cité). Download the cityapp or the "mobiliteit.lu" app for all the timetables and real-time information.

Bus

The free City Shopping Bus: runs every 10 minutes between the Glacis car park and the city centre. You can see the route here.

The free City Night Bus: Fridays and Saturdays between 21:30 and 03:30. The bus runs to all the major districts of the city.

Luxembourg-Findel Airport is 6 km from Luxembourg City, and there is an easy bus connection from the city centre.

Train
