A new face at the helm of Mim'z: welcome to Julie
A new face at the helm of Mim'z: welcome to Julie
After several years working for an audit firm, I decided to move into the fashion industry. For ten years or so, I'd been thinking about taking the plunge one day… and it was in 2024 that the opportunity presented itself!
Myriam, manager of the Mim'z boutique since 2013, and I were put in touch thanks to the House of Entrepreneurship. Mim'z, which was set up in 2013, is an independent boutique selling women's shoes and accessories, including bags, coats, scarves, belts and so on. Brands are chosen to offer a range of styles, prices, sizes and colours large enough to satisfy a wide range of people. The brands on offer include Scapa, Pisati, Pantanetti, Pomme d'Or, Panchic, … for shoes; Berthille, Charles & Charlus, Gianni Chiarini, … for bags, Creenstone for coats and Christian Lacroix, Mala Alisha, Olivier Strelli, … for scarves.
The transfer process went very smoothly. We shared common ideas and had complementary experiences to ensure the transition went as smoothly as possible. Our aim was to carry out the transfer without any disruption to either customers or staff.
The challenge of a transition is to ensure that it is carried out smoothly, in the continuity of the previous business, maintaining the positive aspects that are appreciated by the various stakeholders involved, i.e. customers, staff, suppliers, etc., while putting aside those aspects that do not necessarily contribute to the efficiency of the business.
The staff, Déborah and Céline, will continue to serve our customers with the same care and attention, putting their knowledge and experience at their service. The vast majority of the shop's brand portfolio will also be maintained, with a few new brands possibly added to or replacing existing small series, always with the aim of maintaining a sufficiently wide range to satisfy a varied clientele.
Anyway, we believe that the key to a successful transfer is to find the right balance between the two parties, in terms of priorities and objectives, so that the transfer can be carried out intelligently and with respect for the other parties involved.
